1 Component Polyurethane clear coat

description: G8-SUPER is a one-component polyurethane varnish Solvent, anti-yellowing but without UV absorber added. Applied in thin layers, it hardens after release of solvents by the action of humidity and exhibits excellent resistance to common chemicals and cleaners. Due to its solvent content, this product should not be used indoors.

Application domain: anti-yellowing transparent varnish for wood, metal and plastics containing solvents.

Wood protection:
G8-SUPER is especially recommended for light and dark woods because of its good resistance to yellowing and resistance to wear.

Improved epoxy laminate surface condition:

Surfboards coated Speedcoat and G8-SUPER have better UV resistance and, in combination with non-slip powder, better resistance to trampling.

Improved chemical resistance of floor coverings in ESTOVOSS:

On soil ESTOVOSS subjected to high stresses, the application roller or G8-SUPER gun in a 4 to 24 hour interval provides better chemical resistance of the floor covering.

Do not use in the field of building collections, their elements and leurdécoration accordance with Directive 200 4/42 / EC on the reduction of VOC emissions.

The adhesion on wood, concrete and sanded polyester laminate is remarkable, it is less about the metal and glass. G8-SUPER hardens quickly, it is tack-free after about 2 to 4 hours. The film in the cured state is characterized by its high impact resistance and extreme hardness.

It has good resistance to weathering and virtually no yellowing due to its good gloss retention. It acquires its chemical resistance to acids and alkaline solutions diluted after a time sufficient cure (at least 7 days at 20 ° C) as well as water at room temperature.

Implementation

The surface must be clean, dry and free of grease. The relative humidity of solid wood must be at 15% (= air dried) maximum. It is advisable to lightly sand the support to make it rough, carefully remove the old paint by sanding.
Consumption per layer is 200 to 300 ml / m² depending on the porosity of the support.
G8-SUPER apply by brush, roller or spray (wear a mask!). The amount per layer should not exceed 250 ml in order to ensure proper curing heart. On porous substrates, it is advisable to lay the first layer of G8-SUPER with maximum 50% of THINNER POLYURETHANE and the second layer with 25%. With low-porosity substrates, the first coat will be diluted up to max. 20% with THINNER POLYURETHANE and max. 5% for the following layers.
To obtain a film resistant to wear, it is necessary to apply at least 3 to 4 undiluted layers.
Recovery of successive layers must be made as soon as the surface is tack-free. This delay depends on the implementation of temperature and humidity, it is about 2 to 4 hours at a temperature of the object 20 ° C. After this time, it is necessary to perform intermediate sanding.
It is possible to tint G8-SUPER with our PASTA COLORANTES PU but is recommended only in special cases and making sure not to exceed 5%. In case of coloring, it is necessary anyway to expect the reduction in the mechanical strength, the durability of the gloss and stability
storage. Moreover, the usage time will be significantly shortened.
Resistance to G8-SUPER trampling improved by adding 5% by weight of non-skid powder (mixed with the liquid product just before application).
